EuroVast, paper pioneer

«Sustainability is the watchword 98% of materials are renewable»

The Lucca-based Group is a leader in the tissue sector thanks to its converting plants CEO Umberto Romano: «Recycled plastic for packaging, forklifts and electric vans in the fleet»

EuroVast, with over thirty years of experience in the paper sector, is among the leading exhibitors in the non-food sector at the Marca fair in Bologna, the reference event for commercial brands and private labels.

The company stands out for its commitment to innovation and sustainability, the cornerstones of its growth. During the event, which confirms itself as a strategic platform for networking and international B2B, EuroVast brings its contribution as a leader in the tissue sector: the group has a production capacity distributed across 5 paper mills, producing 150,000 tons of paper annually, with a conversion capacity distributed across 5 converting plants, three of which are in Italy, one in Liverpool (England) and one in Oss (Holland).

“The group’s priority is certainly sustainability – explains CEO Umberto Romano – not only environmental sustainability, which plays a fundamental role, but also social sustainability. EuroVast has in fact put this principle into practice by giving new life to some local companies: in the past year, a new plant for the finished product was opened in Pescia (Pistoia), and in 2025 it will inaugurate a transformation plant in Italy, with the aim of greater proximity to customers. In both cases, the attention to environmental sustainability is maximum: in the Pescia plant, a 3 megawatt photovoltaic system has already been started up, capable of supporting the entire production cycle, while the new production site was built with the aim of substantially reducing the kilometres travelled with road transport and therefore also CO2 emissions”.

Not only that, the group’s attention to the environment is also summarized in the sustainability report published by the company, which is able to reduce its environmental impact thanks to the use of energy from renewable sources and wastewater and waste management.

«|| 98% of the materials used by EuroVast are renewable, including virgin cellulose (which represents 70%, equal to 100,000 tons) – explains Umberto Romano -. In addition to this, we use recycled plastic in the production of our packaging and, in our production sites, we have entrusted internal handling and transport to latest-generation electric forklifts and vans. All this allows us to minimize our environmental impact».

EuroVast products, designed to meet the hygiene and domestic use needs of consumers, (among the Group’s brands are Fior di Carta Lifesty-le, Suprema, Buffalo and Bravo), are also in line with the objective of sustainable transition of the Private Label and the Fair.

It is no coincidence that the research “the leading role of Modern Distribution and the Private Label for the sustainable transition of the agri-food chain” by Teha (The European House – Ambrosetti) will be presented during the opening conference of the fair.

The study analyses the value for the country of the economic, social and environmental impacts of the Modern Distribution sector, demonstrating its important role as a reference in the sustainability standards of the entire agri-food chain.

Fior di Carta Lifestyle, Suprema Buffalo and Bravo are brands renowned for their quality and practicality, giving EuroVast a solid reputation as a reliable partner for large-scale Italian and European distribution.

And the premium brand Suprema respects the environment with its packaging with 60% recycled plastic. The Fior di Carta Lifestyle line was created with the aim of creating new and unconventional products, and Fior di Carta Lifestyle is the Tova-glietta brand, while the Buffalo line of reels and kitchen towels is dedicated to house cleaning, hobbies and garden care. Bravo, finally, is the historical brand of the group, which responds with simplicity and effectiveness to the needs of a vast clientele. The Eurovast Group therefore fits perfectly within the priorities and objectives of the Marca Fair, scheduled in Bologna today and tomorrow, in a twenty-first edition bigger and more international than ever.
